Here’s why gratitude culture has you stuck:
They told you gratitude is the secret. Neville Goddard said it. Florence Scovel Shinn said it. Napoleon Hill said it. Coaches repeat it.
“Be grateful for what you have, and you’ll attract more.”
But what do you actually attract? More scraps. More bills barely paid. More cycles of struggle dressed up as “abundance.”
And when it doesn’t work, you blame yourself. You double down. You think God is humbling you.
But let me tell you the truth: gratitude culture is a lie.
Gratitude is the law of multiplication. That’s not a secret. Every one of those gurus knew it.
But here’s what they don’t tell you: if you multiply scraps, you get more scraps. If you multiply poverty, you get more poverty.
They keep you confused on purpose. Why? Because if you knew the difference between thankfulness (for now) and gratitude (for what’s next), you wouldn’t keep buying their books, courses, and programs.
And manifestation? It’s not overflow. Manifestation is disobedience. God already said: “I created you in My image. Be fruitful and multiply.” Not: “Spend ten years journaling and calling scraps blessings.”
You can’t override God’s creation code with “gratitude hacks.”
Melissa, a mom of three, came to me wanting to stay home with her kids. She was terrified about money because deep down she knew her partner wasn’t going to step up.
So I activated her God-consciousness.
What happened next? Out of nowhere, her kids’ father started helping more. She got a two-day-a-week job offer that paid more than full-time. She started winning money. Suddenly, she didn’t even know what “broke” meant anymore.
And when she told me she was grateful to pay her bills, I said, “Ew.” Paying your bills is bare minimum. Overflow is covenant.
Take me for example. For ten years, I manifested scraps. Lived on hand-me-downs. Lived on $18,000 a year. Thought God was humbling me.
But the moment I said: “This is crap. I’m not living on scraps, poop, or hope anymore,” three days later, my estranged husband came back and paid the rent and utilities. That was better — but it was still scraps, because I went back to being “grateful.”
Gratitude for scraps will always multiply scraps.
Here’s your shift:
Count every scrap in your life — the bills, the crumbs, the hand-me-downs.
Say out loud:
“Abort. Abort. Abort. I no longer accept scraps. I no longer multiply scraps. I am coded for overflow.”
Then sit with God and speak your desire. Not with a deadline, not with begging, but with authority. And thank Him for what’s already yours.
That’s covenant.
Gratitude culture was designed to keep you docile. To keep women smiling through pain, thanking God for crumbs, and multiplying bondage.
But as a woman, you are a double multiplier. God gave you a fertile womb. Whatever enters multiplies. Scraps multiply. Gaslighting multiplies. Overflow multiplies.
The choice is yours: scraps or covenant.
This is why I wrote Forget Gratitude, Manifest Your Way.
To expose the lie. To show you why you keep multiplying scraps. And to walk you into the truth of overflow — not manifestation, but God’s multiplication covenant.
